2003 civic ex shutting off
Hello everyone, today i picked up 2003 civic ex 5 speed, my first manual car, 485$ was the price and boy was it worth every penny. Ok when i pickd it up it had an exhaust leak no prob ir drove fine when we tested it, issues at all , plus it was all warmd up, as soon as we left like 10 miles in the MIL light came on and it started to shut off everytime we stopped. got home and scaned it to get P0138, O2 sensor circuit, sure enough wires were fraid at the connector so i go to tighten up the header since it was loose and replaced the O2. No more leak and so far no MIL either but it still shuts off at when i stop, anyone got any ideas, car is very smooth and there is no hesitation, it doesnt start right away, could ir be poor fuel delivery? or could it be the ignition i hear so much about, any feed back is greatly appreciated, fyi ive gone trough the forums already just need some great minds to guide me.
the owner says he just replaced it wich is true i think, everything is new underneath, although i may of done a dee dee dee moment, I think im out of gas, the gauge works i think but theres no light,
Ok so far the gauge works and i got half a tank in it, went through the engine bay and didnt see anything that would throw up red flags, i popd up one of the spark plugs to check condition and it was new, ill check the others tommorow, wiggle the key in the ignition and car didnt shut off though, im thinking fuel pump maybe? i will take throttle body out for a good cleaning too.
True dat, car has 202k on the clock, to a honda thats nothing, also i checkd cat and theres nothing obstructing so i can rule cat out, for now im starting the car and letting it idle till it gets warm, on a side not i did notice the fan isnt clicking on it does turn on after a good while, could it be a faulty thermostat.

Update, been a while but succes we have found the issue and its stays on now. through several sophisticated testing we found that once it warmd up it would lose spark in cylinder 1 which would in turn shut off. First on the list was the cam sensor, since it controls were the spark goes, swap it with a known good one and fail, so up next the Crankshaft sensor, this was truly a pain in the *** to get to, for any one trying to remove the crank pully i highly recommend the honda hex key holder, 2 good breaker bars, a cheater bar and a good friend cause no inpact in the world will remove that bolt. With much pain it finally stays on now so mission complete, or so i thought. The vehicle has passd calis deadly smog challenge but not without some concerns, its emissions were good but it failed the visual test, at first i thought the intake but it has its carb sticker, it was the cat, it has no numbers on it, that right there would be a instant fail but the dude was cool and pass it, now im happy, then last night the check engine light came on for a faulty secondary o2 sensor, will i ever win.........
