Icon5 '95 civic ex dash "bezel" removal?

Theres some no longer needed switch holes drilled in my dash "bezel" (the trim around climate control and stereo) so I got a good deal on ebay for an oem replacement.
How exactly would i go about removing/replacing this piece? This was all i could find on that particular part..

does the whole dash really need to come out?

thanks

If I'm not mistaken, it's bolted/screwed from the other side. Dash has to come out for remove of the grey trim bezel.

The trim around the heater controls and stereo has 4 screws around the sides, two on top (IIRC, one is inside the glove compartment door) and two on the bottom. The panel that goes across over the steering column and holds the defogger button and dimmer is attached from the back, will need to remove the whole dash to separate it.

^^^ That's what I figured. My cousin "attempted" to pry the trim piece and he ended up breaking it. Lesson learned for him.

Bezel piece is accessed from the back side. I suppose in theory you could do it with the dash in, but honestly the dash is so easy to take out, that you're best to do this anyways.

Yeah, do it so many times its like second nature. No guessing, unplug this, unbolt that, lower steering column ANNNND PULL OUT.

Thanks guys got it done yesterday..pulled dash out enough to get a screwdriver through the back and was able to swap the bezel out that way. It looks so clean now plus I got a new (badlyy needed) windshield last week too so the view behind the wheel is looking pretty good again👍
