Hi i have a 2000 honda civic ek9,i still have the oem alarm in the car. Now it has been giving me problems, i have to keep pressing the green button on the remote repeatedly and sometimes quite hard in order for the doors to unlock or start the car,the green light comes on the remote when i press the button, i have put a new battery in the car as well as the remote, why is the alarm system not receiving the signal from the remote, sometimes i stand a couple minutes pressing the green button on the remote just to unlock the doors or to start the car.
Please assist urgently on how can a solve this problem, if the only solution is to disconnect it, how to i disconnect the alarm for now until i add an aftermarket alarm.
