Crx ignition/fuel wiring issue
The car is a 88 si. Every once in a while, I will turn the key, the accessories will come on, but no main relay click, or fuel pump prime. During these intermittent problems, the car will start on starting fluid, so from what I have gathered, it is a fuel wiring problem. I replaced the ignition switch almost the day after getting the car, as it wouldn't stay in the run position, would start right up then die when you release the key.
The car has an older avital 2100 model alarm, that is tied into a couple of the wires off the ignition switch. The black/white wire from the switch is spiced into a relay of some sort, not quite sure what it does, but looks as if its tied into the alarm somehow. Then the black/yellow wire off the switch, has a t-tap off of it, again, not quite sure for what, but assuming it has to do with the alarm. When I originally changed the switch out, I installed it as is, without the relay spliced in, or without the t-tap on the black/yellow wire. The car would not start. I spliced the relay back in, and t-tapped the black/yellow wire, and the car started again. Then a few days later I started to have this intermittent problem I speak of. Could the ignition switch be bad, could this mess of an alarm setup be causing this. Just looking for ideas, as I am tired of my big *** laying upside down under the dash trying to follow and probe all the wires lol.

No main relay click and no fuel pump priming.
I would be looking in that area.
Maybe the main relay needs to be fixed.
Maybe somebody installed a kill switch on one of the wires that feeds into the main relay.
