Ok so I've searched this forum and google search but no answers. I own a 94 RS that I've been using as a daily but now Im ready to start the mods. I got a great deal on a 95 GSR 4 door and going to swap the engines around. I understand how to swap the GSR engine into the RS ... lots of info on this site but no luck doing the swap the the way around. Is there any extra wiring needed to swap the LS motor into the GSR? Or is it that just that simple? install ls engine and ecu and go? Only inspection in Georgia is the tail pipe sniffer and confirming no check engine lights are on. If I missed a thread with this info please link.. thanks

Goal : Install ls engine and ecu into gsr chassis without a check engine light.
Question : Will LS engine harness connect to GSR Chassis harness without issue and no check engine light?

 

I'm assuming you want to put the GSR motor into the 94 and the LS motor into the 95? Why not just switch out the engine harnesses and ECUs along with the motors? Would make the whole thing plug and play.
