hey all,

Battery seems fine. Lights come on dash, headlights nice and bright. No crank no start this morning but i do hear a click. I was going to pull the starter this afternoon and have the starter motor tested. Anything else to check for? I was also going to check to make sure the start is getting power and ground.

 

tap the starter hard with a hammer or something and see if it'll start

 

Already tried that. Actually pulled the starter this afternoon and had it bench tested at advance auto parts- came back good. the starter fired right right up for them. Also, battery is reading 12.7 V with connectors plugged. I did check resistance on the postive cable going from battery and the starter and noticed that the readings were all over the place. Could it be as simple as that? Also that start f!@#&^$ sucked to remove. Jesus Christ. If I am hearing a click whn I start, does this rule out the ignition switch? I also tried to start it in nuetral, and nothing. does this rule that out or no?

I would try to jump it even though you think the battery is okay. It's free to try it, and fast to do so worth a shot. If that doesn't work, Watch Scotty Kilmer's YouTube video "

Fixing A Car That Won't Start When You Turn The Key" Try turning the engine over to make sure it isn't broken internally. I can turn mine over in Park/Neutral using the power steering pulley and a big wrench.
