Default Trying to build my h22a cb7

Hey everyone, so I recently bought a 93 accord with a h22a swap. Everything seemed to be working just fine until I put plates on it. (Figures) my two main concerns are
1: the car won't rev past 4K (it seems like it governs.)
2: the fan doesn't run while the car is on but runs when I turn it off and it does kill the battery.
If anyone has any information or similar problems they have solved I'd love to know! Thanks everyone

Did it rev past 4k before or did you never rev it that high before you bought it. The first thing would be to check the ECU to see if A. its working properly, B. make sure its the right one, p28 i believe. Second check the wiring as the previos poster said, everything may look right but with many swapd engines (at least the ones ive seen) they do a poor rushd job just so they can sell the car. To me it sounds like the Vtech solenoid isnt working, no solenoid no power, as for the fans thats sounds like i said a rushd job, check relays, fuses ect...... it may be time cosuming and may or may not cost money but its whats need to be done.

Thanks for the response, The car did rev passed 4k before I bought it and it actually did yesterday after I had been riding around in it for about an hour. So sometimes it does but not often. And as for the fan I'm going to do some looking around today after work. Hopefully I can find out what it is so I can fix it all on Saturday.

engine might be in the limp mode for the 4k rev. check to see if you have any code in the ecu. there are a few sensors if bad that could cause this.

Have you bled the coolant as well as a tune up? (plugs, cap, rotor etc.)

Didn't get to the ecu. Assuming it's under the glove box? It's probably the stock ecu for a cb7.. plan on doing the full tune up this weekend. I did clean the solenoid valve and I think I can cross that off the possible problems list. Considering it still doesn't want to go over 4K. Here's the thing I was logging on to say tho and I swear I'm not joking, every time the check engine light comes on, the motor no longer has the limiter on it. I'm starting to think it's an oil pressure issue. Any insight would be much appreciated

My best guess would be to check the wiring, interested in the results as I am thinking about swapping my 98 with a h22

Hondas usually have issues with sensors inside the distributor, a brand new distributor would replace all of them at once. Or check your ecu for codes and go from there
