Default Integra vs Sti Handling

I want to get into auto x and time attacks and was wondering if the dc integra or gd sti handles better? I had an integra but never got to track it and now have an sti. I miss the integra and was wondering this question so i know what to dump my money in (buying another integra and doing full suspension or dumping money into sti).

I've owned both a high-ish powered Subaru and Integra, autox'd and tracked them both, and I'm trying to think of how to not take a side here. So let me just say, an Integra is cheap, takes more skill to drive fast and is more fun. The Subaru is expensive, more likely to be faster and make you look like a hero.

Thanks for the info! My current plan is putting the stock sti on e85 after fuel required upgrades and then doing suspension work, sway bars coilovers etc. probably nothing engine wise afterwards. But if i got an integra, im thinking all motor, nothing too crazy on hp output, probably a tune on gsr and suspension upgrades, same as an sti. Iv been on debate for a while, i could have a fun track car for cheap or i could have an sti for track but way more expensive. Im kind of leaning towards integra because of that plus itll be awesome to have a lower power car be able to take corners fast and possibly taking corners faster than other higher power cars.

this hits it on the nail on the head, I have both also. The sti tires were running me about 230 in 18s each the teg was around 130 for r1r in 15s.

I agree with the above. Integra because...1. parts are cheaper (which also allowed me to worry less about breaking something while I was out there) 2. More of the underdog vehicle. After every event I have someone coming up to me wondering what I have done. I went from an S2000 to 99' Civic Si. I have only refreshed the suspension, stock B16 with bolt-ons, Re-71r's and mild weight reduction. So heavy civic with 140hp, lol. I'm having a blast with it.

I own both and cant really compare the two. The Integra is a blast because its light and cheap to mod and maintain. The Sti is an animal in a different league, Now I should add my Sti is completely built with closed deck and rotated Gt35r. My Integra is a 94 Rs with GSR swap and just bolt on's but I definitely beat on it more because I trust it will get me home regardless of how hard I thrash it. The Sti has turned into a weekend warrior that I have become more hesitant to thrash since Im on my 3rd engine. LOL

I feel the same coming from someone that has owned both as well.

I sold my WRX to get another Integra. I get to do more with my Integra than i did with my WRX. Parts are cheaper which makes it more affordable to go to the track. There is more stuff that needs to be upgraded on a Subaru to get the same level of reliability as an Integra. One example the EJ motor runs very high oil temps and if nothing is done to combat that can lead to engine failure.
