2001 Accord bouncing
Okay so, I've been working on my wife's car trying to find the cause of a bad bouncing problem. So far I've changed out 4 brand new tires, rear hub assembly both tire rods, and a lower control arm. All the brakes have been checked, I've checked motor and Trans mounts. The only other things I could think are the transmission and axles. Just looking to see if anybody had any ideas suggestions of what it could possibly be. Thanks
Ok, so the car bounces/shakes when you drive it. Since changing the left side lower control arm and tie rod end, it only bounces badly between 3rd and 4th gear now. The steering wheel isn't shaky itself, as much as just the entire car rides like there's a bubble in the tires, but there's not. I am also about to change the sway bar bushings. I have a feeling that it may be the passengers side CV axle, but not 100% certain because it isn't clicking or popping as a cv axle typically does when it goes bad. I started at the lower price end of the parts and have slowly been eliminating the parts as I go.
Have you verified the shocks are not bad?
Open the hood, push down on the front of the car a few times, get rising and falling at a decent rate.
Push down on it one more time.
It should rebound and settle at the ride height.
If it keeps bouncing up and down, your shocks are shot.
