Transmission Solenoids 00 Accord 2.3L
Hello,
I am looking for remove my solenoids to test continuity, apply 12v power to see if they click, and to clean the screens where applicable as a last hope to cure my transmission problems before replacing the unit.
My question is...
Will I be able to remove the screens to clean them? It seems as though if I apply a bit of compressed air that that should do the trick in terms of cleaning.
AND
Do ya'll think its necessary to remove all of the solenoids to do these things? I was definitely going to do the Shift solenoids.
My current shifting problems are: a hesitiation or slip when accelerating in 1st and second, and flares on up shifts.
Thanks!

Part 1 -How to Test: A/T Pressure Control Solenoids A and B (Honda 2.2L, 2.3L)
Start there first.
If the shaft sensors are gunked up this can also cause erratic/harsh upshifts. Make sure they are also clean of debris.
Next would be to verify pressure at the various ports is correct.
