Driver side axle nightmare
I recently bought a 98 rs with a 99crv b20z2 i got it from a friend who owned the car for more than 6 months he drove the car easy and never had any issues I got it and started beating the **** out of it for 2 days now it won't hold an axle in the driver side it's acting like the axle is an inch or more too short and pulls the joint apart. what did I bend I put brand new motor mounts still popping them I tried new and reman from advanced and orielly I've gone through 5 axles I need help
I don't know, but I'd check the measurement of the original engine vs your swap, see if it's an inch further to the transmission. All you'd have to do is find a stock rs. Perhaps using a longer shaft, like for a crv perhaps? That's just a guess. Other than that, you can't really beat on the auto parts store axles and expect them to last. There's actually a link in these forums for better, but not quite racing axles. They may also have the info you need, otherwise, there's tons of engine swap info in these forums. You may need a custom axle, or change front end components to match up with the engine.
