Default Need help with some technical questions

Have a p72 vtec head on a b18c block can it run the vtec I have on it. I also did not realize this when I bought the b18c ecu for it. It's in a 93 civic dx hatchback, need to know if the ecu will mess up the motor and if it can or can't run the vtec on it. Obd2 to obd1 swap as well, motor is out of an 01 if I remember correctly

Also forgot to mention the p72 head is matched to a p72 ecu, don't know if that matters 100%or not

Well I just did an obd0 to obd1 and the difference was the oxygen sensor, a coolant temp sensor, high impedance injectors rather than low impedance, and the distributor. I believe I also run a p72 ecu, but let me get back to you on that. I do not have vtec. I already had the stock obd1 wiring harness, so I just had to use the right injectors, get an obd1 dizzy, and move the o2 sensor from the manifold to a spot just before the cat. I'm guessing you'd have to be sure the ecu you have is tuned for vtec. Running without vtec, technically shouldn't hurt it, at least you'll know if it runs.

p72 heads were made for the GSR block (B18C).....so yea, it'll "run the vtec on it"
