is it possible to take, say a regular 4-2-1 DC Sports header, cut off the 2.25" collector, and fit a 2.5" collector onto it? would this be beneficial at all?

 

If it is possible its not worth the money. Try selling you headers and buy a used 2.5" header.

 

i dont have an aftermarket header yet. i'm just wondering for future reference. i'm getting turbo eventually and i just want a decent header until then that will match everything else in my exhaust system (2.5"). so does anyone have a used or cheap 4-2-1 header w/2.5" collector they wanna sell?

 

Don't all USDM headers have a 2" collector?

Yup, i think so.. i heard of some shops selling them pre-made with 2.5 in. collector.. -but dont remember whichs shops. whoa my boss is coming laters...
