997 Acura Integra LS Auto w/ 143000 miles for $2900 good or bad?
I need help deciding whether I should purchase a
1997 Acura Integra LS Automatic for $2900
The car has 143,000 miles
Rebuilt Motor and I had a pre-inspection with a mechanic and they found these issues:
-front/back brakes down to 80% left
-transmission fluid not so clean
-steering wheel has vibration when a/c is on
-power steering system has small leak from pump
-cylinder head has oil leak from head bolt
-ABS and SRS lights on
-rear trunk and roof clear code coming off
-driver side door seal broken
Given the items above, the mileage, and an above average exterior and interior,
Is $2900 a fair price for me as a buyer or should I negotiate lower?

X2.
That car is a hard pass.
The auto transmissions are dogshit, if it wasn't maintained religiously (it wasn't based on the dirty fluid) it won't last long. And every third craigslist shitbox has a """rebuilt""" motor, if the head is leaking oil this soon then I guarantee the rest of the rebuild is **** or nonexistent. ABS and SRS could be easy fixes...or they could be very expensive fixes.
This is not a $3000 car, it's worth MAYBE 1/3rd that.

I got my 92 ls 4 door with 190k for under a grand. It was in virtually perfect shape other than regular maintenance. That engine is now at 280k. I got a 91 ls 2 door for 500$. With 184k, that transmission was an auto and super strong. Then I got a 92 gs 2 door with just over 200k and beat to **** for 300$ lol. They're everywhere, you just need to find the good owners. Even the good ones are barely worth over a grand, but I guess I'd pay up to 2100 for something with under 100k, one owner, garaged, no gravel, no pets. ..
