Hello. I am new to the forums. I am having trouble with my Honda. I have a 1999 Honda Accord EX 4 Cylinder 2.3L. I am currently getting a check engine code of "P1259'. I googled the code and it said to replace the VTEC solenoid. I have replaced the solenoid and the check engine light is still on and its still the same code. The car has failed emissions. I wanted to know what is the fix for this code if its not the Solenoid.

 

could be low oil, could be a dent upward in the oil pan causing low pressure from the pickup, could be something with the vtec valvetrain, pulling the valve cover and manually turning the engine you can see parts of the vtec components that are binding versus others that are moving freely
