Default 96 to 99 manual conversion
i have a 96 ex 5 speed that i want to fully swap into a 99 ex auto. will my 96 ECU work in the 99?

With an adapter harness... yes. OBD-2B -> OBD-2A. You will need to use the '99 EX auto engine harness as well.
