Damn! Busted Tire, time to get some new ones
looks like the crappy bridgestones i had are out, just as well, i haven't felt very secure with the storms we've been having of late.
any reccommendations on new tires? this will be the first set i've bought, so i'm not sure what the procedure is exactly. i was thinking of picking up a set from tirerack.com or something and getting them installed by a place here, would that be pricey?
i need something that'll be awesome in the spring, but won't get me killed in the winter. it rains here a a lot during the winter, so that's a huge consideration. also, i may in pinch need to take it through some snow once or twice. i snowboard a lot and have a cabin at northstar, but will be taking my roomate's truck for the most part, i'll have to drive myself if for some reason he's out of town or needs his truck though.
looking through tirerack the ones that seemed to peak my interest were the Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 ($77), the Yokohama AVS ES100 ($75), and the Pirelli P7000 SuperSport ($107). any opinons?
thanks

I'm about to buy a set of the Yokohama AVS tires, but can't comment much about them. I don't know much about the Pirelli's so I won't comment on those either.
My friend has the Kumhos and they offer pretty good dry traction, and excellent wet traction. He's told me great things about them, and I've been impressed with the performance in his car. They're great if you need a good balance between wet/dry traction for a low cost.
