i have a 01 R6 and i was wondering if they make nitrous kits out there and if soo about how much do they cost and are they safe? i just want to see if i can hang with an R1 or GSX-R 750.

Also what fuel mods would i need?

Nah you don't and here is why:

- The difference in price between r-6/gixxer 750/R-1 is limited enough for you to upgrade. Plus, your r-6 will go down in value with NOS.

- NOS is for straight line racing and all the bikes you mentioned are designed for twisties. Go with a longer wheelbase bike if straight line is your stuff.

- In most cases an r-1 will not outrun an r-6 (with a better rider), so work on your skills.

 

I saw an R6 at the local track with nitrous.

Whats the point of drag racing a bike? Thats like driving a ferrari at the drag strip. Put it on the twisties and let it shine. Its fun to go fast in a straight line every now and then but wasting money on nitrous for it?

They build drag bikes and i know they sell nitrous systems for bikes. I dont think they make specific kits for each application, but i know they have the parts to build anything you want. I could probably get you a hookup cause my boy works there, he is in charge of shipping/receiving

One problem you are going to have is mounting a bottle..... I have seen someone mount a small bottle under the passenger seat of a gixxer 1000 and it was pretty damn stealth looking. Talk about a sleeper.

As far as your 01 r6, well it is has carbs on it, so if the fuel delivery needs adjustment that would mean jetting.......
