I own a Civic 2004 ES model (D series engine) and I am currently looking to change my steering rack and pinion bushings to polyurethane for better steering response. I already did a complete suspension bushings overhaul from Hard Race and I wish to upgrade the steering as well. I cannot find parts for it though. I even emailed energy suspensions and they cannot help me find the specific parts. Have you guys bought a set before that can fit this car?
These should fit the rack, but I've never seen anyone convert to poly. I've never had any steering response issues on the track with my car, so I wouldn't think its a desired part, but I guess its all down to what you have done thus far to your car.
Thank you for your response. It helped in finding the parts on ebay from the links you posted.
But on close analysis one of the part numbers on the item description does not match. The parts I required are as follows:
Part numbers No. 12 and 14 matches on the ebay description but I cannot seem to find the No 13 part. It seems weird to be different from No. 12
Maybe somebody who installed bushings on a similar steering rack can help. As of now I cannot get the item as I am confused on the No.13 part. I would prefer to change all three.
