Default 2002 Civic SI EP3 Power locks and Intermittent wiper issue

Howdy everyone,

New to the forum and Hondas, recently purchased a somewhat rough ep3 off Craigslist with a couple of issues.

The main issue appears to be that none of the power locks work in the car. Both the power lock switches and the keyless entry appear to be affected. The intermittent wiper setting also appears to not be working, but low and high work.

I tested what I believe the fuses responsible for power locks, but they all seem to be not blown.

On a side note, there is a blue wire near the cabin fusebox that is loose. I think it might be involved with the driver side lock, but I have not traced it back.

From what I have read, these symptoms seem to point to a broken multiplex control unit. Is it worth taking apart and re-soldering burnt connections assuming that is the issue, or should I just get a new fusebox?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You!

I would swap out the door actuators first. It's a royal pain in the **** to do, but that's the more likely culprit of the door lock problem, IMHO. No idea on the wipers, so you could be right on what's going on there. Good luck.
