I have a 2001 Honda Accord EX and my SRS light went on a couple weeks ago. I looked up my model on the Honda website and there was apparently an airbag factory recall so I thought no harm in taking it in if it'll be a recall covered issue. I took it in, but apparently my problem is with my OPDS system and that it's failed. They want a little over $500 to get the part and repair it. Is this common? Vital? I'm just a little mad because I'm looking to flip this car within a couple months and was expecting MAX $2000, and I hate having to invest in a seemingly uselss piece for over a 1/4 of what I'll get for it. Any ideas or knowledge?
