hey guys i plan on getting an ef hatch shortly here and im curious if the ek sunroof (or moonroof I call it moonroof) would fit on an ef hatch. has anybody ever done this? i recently bought an ek filled with goodies and i decided take the moonroof to install on my 98dx but i want the ef hatch and am wondering if it would fit. if anybody has done it before or even with an ej2 roof let me know please, i have the brackets and whole set up.

 

no it wont fit the ek moonroof is a round glass
where the ef is straight and theres a size differance also
but... if your good with sheetmetal and welding and body work
you can make it happen no problem

 

well if i end up with an ef hatch with a roof im not gonna mess with it ill just leave it but if it doesnt come with one i was going to cut the roof to fit the moofroof and install it like that, i even have the roof off the ek so i can take measurements.

 

oh yea man ive done that before
on the hatch it have markings inside the roof where the stock sunroof would of been cut
but since you want an ex roof then that info is useless haha

just remember to measure twice and then cut it short on purpose, and then cut small bits off at a time so that you dont mess it up haha

this is coming from the first guy on hondatech that ever had a crx with glass sunroof back in the day

oh and take pictures its always fun seeing someone make a hole on a car roof

 

crx with a glass roof sounds pretty sweet, whenever that happens and if it works out ill make a thread on it probably.

 

i did make a thread and it was on here but that was back in 08-09 ish
the pictures are gone now it was a moonroof that i got out of a acura legend
