EG no key need to move

I have an EG I'm parting out in my driveway and I misplaced the key I need to move it to a better spot. The steering lock is on. What should I do?

If you're the owner of the car, and have any documentation to prove it, then take those papers to your local Honda dealership and have them cut you a new key from the VIN number.

Yeah but I'm just taking apart this car and just want to move it from one side of my driveway to the other and done sinking money into it. Is there a way to free it up without buying a key?

A new key is under $10.00

Isn't the steering lock part of the ignition switch assembly? Meaning, remove the assembly and the steering will be free to turn.
And I paid $20 for my cut-from-VIN key.
