97 d16y7 del sol wont start
I have a 97 del sol with the d16y7 motor, manual trans. I only had it a few months, I was on the highway and it was overheating so I pulled off and the hose going from the top of the radiator to the resovior had blown off and sprayed coolant all along the passenger side of the engine bay. I filled it with water and made it home, it was running rough though. Now it will not start at all, if I crank it sometimes it will give a little kick here or there but just wont run. I check spark it looked yellowish to me which I think is weak. Spark plugs are soaked so I know it is getting fuel. I also swapped in the distributor from my 97 d16y8 del sol which I think is the same and also would not start, I though maybe the dizzy got soaked. It was throwing a code 72 misfire on #2. I was going to do a compression test but could not get the spark plug out on the #1 cylinder, the rest came out easy. I felt like I would snap it off in there if I tried turning it any harder and I would have another problem. I am not really sure where to go form here, I dont know what else could cause weak spark if some wiring got soaked or something, but car has been sitting a few weeks now so everything should have dried out.
