Radiator - fan or no fan
Hey Guys,
I have a K24 in a 99 civic hatch, no AC of course. Currently i have a hybrid racing full size radiator that is leaking like crazy.
I would like to get another radiator, but this time with a fan.
Do you guys have any advice/thoughts on:
-Is full size that much better than half?
-How come no has fans with aftermarket radiators? Stock ones always have fans...

From what I've been told and researched, a high quality half rad with a high quality puller fan will cool as well or better than a crappy full rad with cheap fans.
However, I have never heard of anyone running no fan. I currently have two pushers and have to keep them on anytime I am driving less than 40mph to keep my ECT at 195 or below.

Aftermarket radiators don't come with fans, you have to purchase them separately.
Running with no fan would not be practical. The car would almost certainly overheat if idling or stuck in traffic long enough, once the engine bay is heat soaked with no air movement.

interesting.. i must have been lucky then.. i dont have a fan and it has no overheated... im afraid i cant even fit a fan tho theres like no space in my engine bay!!
