This weekend I busted my passenger mirror on a tree. Now I'm looking for a replacement and am deciding on OEM or aftermarket. I've looked on eBay and have found several offerings, some even include a side LED light in amber, blue or clear and/or LED arrow in the mirror. However, the price of a pair of these is often about half of what just one OEM one costs, so I'm wondering if the eBay ones have known issues.

Does anybody have any suggestions on which type, brand and/or style of mirrors I should get? I've found a few forum posts where folks have suggested APR carbon fiber mirrors, but these run more than $200 and I don't think I want to spend that amount unless there is a justifiable reason for it. Just looking to get ideas/inspiration so any experience or thoughts you have to share in this realm would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

 

I should mention that I'd like to retain power mirror functionality, but I'm willing to explore manual as well.

Agreed, stick with a used OEM mirror off ebay. I think you'll be disappointed if you go ebay aftermarket.

Edit: Heck i think i have one sitting in my garage, i can't remember if it is the driver's or passenger side though.

 

Thanks for the input! I went ahead and bought a stock mirror from eBay and have installed it already so I'm back to 100% on the mirror issue.
