My 2001 Civic LX Needs new fuel pump. It is cracked and leaking fuel on the top. How do I know to buy Kautex or Yachiyo? Both options are available. Thank you.

 

I had the same problem with my 2001 Civic LX. The cracked part is actually the fuel filter which can be replaced separately. This is the one I bought on Amazon for $33.78.


While the pump is out you should also replace the fuel strainer. $5.61 on Amazon


Kautex or Yachiyo? Your Honda dealer's parts department can look it up for you using your VIN.

As for the fuel pump, I think that the pumps are the same. It's the locking ring that holds the pump and seals the gasket that is the difference.
