Oil In spark plug tube 6th gen 00' Accord 2.3
Hello,
One of my spark plug tube seals was bad. I replaced it. However I am having a hard time getting the oil out of the tube. I put a rag down and fed it in the tube with a screwdriver but that didn't work very well. Everytime I pull out the spark plug, the threads are covered in oil. Tired of having to replace fouled spark plugs haha.
Any tips?

Use some throttle body cleaner to wash down the oil. Rotate the engine over a few times before reinstalling the spark plug to remove any excess fluid.
If the seal is properly sealing then the only other way oil may be fouling the plug is a problem with the rings or intake valve seal allowing oil into the combustion chamber.
If the new seal is cocked, or installed dry it may have been damaged and will need to be replaced again.
Make sure the spark plug boot is also clean and free of oil. If no oil on the boot, and only on the threads, it is most likely an internal engine issue.
I don't think any of the F23s had a lower seal on the spark plug tube.

Yeah, the marred the seal when installing the cover which makes since with the oil in the tube. Ill check it out in a few days with the new seal installed. When turning the engine over, should I pull the wire connector on teh dizzy so I dont get a spark? I assume you mean manueally turn over from the crank shaft bolt?

Pull the fuse pump fuse or relay.
Leave the plug out, ideally ground the plug wire to the body or valve cover using the spark plug.
Crank away.
You shouldn't need much cleaner.
