Icon5 New CV axle popped out - how screwed?

I just scored an '88 Accord LX with 57k and most of what it needed was two CV axles. Drivers side went first and things went smoothly.

I just got the passenger and two front tires by a shop that I trust; it hasn't been a week and the axle popped out of the transmission.

When it happened, I got a low fluid warning, and by the time of pulling off, I had a blinking warning light. I have a small puddle under my car right now (Picture included)
I believe that the axle was a new part, and the shop got it for my car.

How much damage could this have done to the rest of the car? The axle is completely out of the socket and I drove on that for a few dozen feet.(Other picture)
