Woohoo getting a new car!!
Who want's to guess what. A few hints: Its rwd, turbocharged, intercooled and all stock. It was a pioneer when it first came out and it's half domestic and half foreign.
Uhm... I actually have no clue what it's american counterpart is but since mitsu is the only one (to my knowledge) to turbo their cars and share with an american counterpart... my guess is the Starion.
ok ok, you're so close it's not even funny. It's a conquest tsi.

These are the Mitsu models since I couldn't find the conquest.

I dunno which year apexi got so I posted both. Either way, nice car! Has the power potential with a few tweeks of those Mitsu turbos. I think I've seen people get these cars down to 2300 lbs street driven as well. If this is your new project car, it'll be fun.

Nice. Is it stock? How 'bout my "new" car VS yours. It would be a good race! - if you're stock...

You better do some suspension mods, I ran one of those back home on some twisties and absolutely sh*t on him. but with 234 lb/ft of torque, it must pull pretty decently stock. Too bad it has a modest 188 hp. What are the specs on that car, and what does it run in the quarter? Peace
Post a pic? I don't know what car this is...
Here's black:

Mine is red and an '87. It has no problems at all, the basic things that fail have all been addressed. I got it from a good friend who needed money.

It has no mechanical problems. The only problem is the power antenna motor died and is stuck up.(lol, so is my preludes) The rings seem fine, not even a bit of smoke. I am giving it a good tune up first thing. Then I will go from there.
This is sort of my new project car, but my prelude is still #1. This is my new winter beater, the R is getting too many miles on him.
I will have it in a few hours!
Mike- who will post pics tonight!

Yeah, the suspension is going to get some TLC from me asap. The u-joints are a bit hard, and will need replacing. I want to have a very reliable suspension on this, as I will be driving it nice and hard.
I don't know the stats on it, but the torque sure is nice for a 3000lb car. 188hp is not too shabby, considering torque is the relative figure, not hp. If we had 230ft/lbs+ in our 'ludes, lookout!
And what does this have to do with Preludes?? J/k
Great car. Its better then any Eclipse/Talon could ever be just b/c its RWD

OK I just got home, it went well. I love driving a rwd car again! It rained earlier today so it was a fun ride home. There's nothing like punching it in 5th gear at 65 and pulling hard to 90 at 7-8psi...(remember it has been a long time since i've driven my prelude!)
I will post some pics in the am when it's light out.

Just looking at the car it almost looks like a mix between the old Cameros and the 2nd gen RX-7...
either way! BTW did I ever say that I think you have too many cars?
