1990 EF hatch rear seat removal
One of the things I love most about mechanical work, is that often times, if you look at it for long enough, you can figure out how it works. Alternatively, try searching google and youtube for "civic seat removal" I am sure you can at least find a good place to start, goodluck!

There is one bolt and two clips. The clips act as spacers and are at the outer pivot of the seat back. The clip has a little nub on it that you grab with a pair of pliers and pull it off. Careful of the cloth. Then push the seat backs toward the outside of the car (into the space where the clip was) once clear of the inner pivot the seat back can be lifted away. The lower part is held in with a single bolt down near the carpet. Remove the bolt, lift up the front edge of the seat then pull forward to release the two tabs that secure the back of the seat.
