I have a 2013 honda civic and this is my first honda and i'm loving it so far. I have 1 question though, how long does it take for this honda to get to operating temperature? I want to keep it under 3000 rpm's until its up to operating temps so I don't screw up the car, thanks.

 

You can't screw up the car by not babying it until the car has warmed up. It has more than enough oil pressure as long as the oil level is atleast at the minimum level. In fact, the majority of the engine damage occurs at initial startup when gravity has moved some oil downward off of parts.

So just start it up and drive it.
