Icon5 Coolant leak near engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor

2000 Honda Civic LX Automatic Engine D16Y7
I have attached a picture showing coolant leaking from near engine coolant temperature sensor. In the picture you can also see that temperature sensor appears to be broken and part of it is stuck. I suspect the coolant is leaking because of broken sensor. I searched and found the part number 37870-PJ7-003. My question is how to remove the broken ECT sensor because as you can see in the picture there is no place to hold the broken piece and it seems jammed.

That could be difficult to get out. Possibly use a bolt extractor.
