Default Camber Kit on a 5G?

Some say you do and some say you don't...

I'm planning on dropping my 5G Prelude at least 1.75" (if not more)(Koni "Yellow" 5 Way Adjustables and Ground Control Coil-overs), but I've been hearing "yes" and "no" on this. Do I need a camber kit for it? Ingalls makes one for my car, but it's a ball joint camber kit which I'm not too thrilled about and SPC makes one that's an anchor bolt camber kit.

So this is what I need to know:
1. Am I going to need a camber kit?
2. If so, which one would you recommend (Ball-Joint, Anchor Bolts, etc.)?

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I just see it this way, if I'm going to do this I want to do it right the first time.

it depends on your camber, but most likely you would need it w/more than a 1.75" drop..next time you get an alignment ask them if you're camber is off enough to require the kit.

the only other kit I have heard of is made by specialty produtcs (think it is still a ball joint kit though)..nopi.com has them available.

sorry just read your post in detail, If SPC is specialty products, ignore my previous statement...

Eibach and Sprint make kits as well but they are only for the rear of our cars....go figure

Will you need a camber kit? It depends on how much negative camber your car has after the suspension is settled, and what you are going to do with the car. IMO, anything over -1.5 degrees camber with probably cause some noticable wear on the inside edge of the tires if you drive the car on the street everyday. Having the car toe within specs will also help reduce the amount of inside wear. My car tow is in spec, and the camber is -1.0 up front, -1.4 (might be -1.7 on one side) in the back, and the tires are wearing pretty even. But you wont know until its done and on an alignment rack.

RE: what kind of kit to get, whatever you decide to do, research it well, and make sure its installed correctly (no unreasonable hacking to make it fit, all fasteners torqued to spec), because the last thing you want is to have your car's suspension collapse while you are driving. Ive seen it happen, and it wasnt pretty.
