I have a 1990 honda civic DX automatic that i brought back from the dead. Ive re-threaded a spark plug housing, replaced the gasket in the #2 spark plug tub 3 times and alot of little things. I was driving up a small hill today on my way home from work and lost power(throttle power) and my check engine came on. It started puttering and wouldnt go over 15 mph. The temp shot up to around half way( below the first notch is the normal). I pulled over and shut it off, then turned it back on and it was fine for about 2 minutes and started acting up again. Never had this issue with any of my old honda's nor my 1982 VW Rabbit that was basically a 4 speed go-cart. Im saving money to buy a family car for my baby on the way(January) and need the honda to stay alive til then. Any help would be great and sorry for the crappy post, im in need of some Honda techs. The code im getting is 4-crank angle and 8-TDC position. Not sure what that means

 

I would check the timing first.
