93 Del Sol Si

Now this may seem odd. I need to remove the central bolt cover of my Sols dashboard. Though no matter how i try i cant seem to get it to pop out. I have used multiple trim tools and tried to look under to see whats holding it down to no avail.

Is there a special way to remove these or something i maybe missing?



I need under it, because as seen in the picture the dashboard is cracked right behind it. It makes a rather unsatisfying creaking noise as the car shifts. I intend to put an end to that by repairing the crack from the back... if i can get to it.

 

That piece should just pop out, try prying it from that slot and then with another pry tool work around it simultaneously.
