97 Accord EX engine rebuild, cylinder head i.d. help
So I recently bought a 97 Accord EX from a friend of mine, drove it a month and thought it had a knock in the bottom end, turned out to be the key way on the camshaft was jacked up pretty good, didn't find this until after the engine was out and torn down, but its all good, it had a lot of oil leaks. I am done reassembling the bottom end, and I am now reassembling the head, my friend had a spare head in case something ever happened to this one, so I have a camshaft that I can swap in thats in good shape. The problem is the castings are different and I am trying to find out if the cam will work in my head. My castings are POA-CAPT-2 and the head I am planning to use the camshaft from is PAA-HA-6. From some reading I think the PAA is from a newer Accord, possibly a F23 engine, but I could only find one post mentioning that. All the cam journals are in the same position and orientation, I don't have my calipers here at the moment to compare the sizes of the lobes, and the good cam has an extra groove that I have a picture of, the groove is the only thing I can see that is different. Hopefully some one will have some knowledge about this to help me out.
Thanks!
