Default Burping Radiator

I have a 1999 Honda Civic EX. Earlier this week, I replaced the heater hose (old one cracked). Since then, my temp gauge on the dash has been jumping around. It hovers around what "normal" was (mid gauge), but when I accelerate, the needle dives down and eventually comes back up. Obviously there is air in the system. I've tried burping it a few times, but no results. Any suggestions?

Git the Lisle 24680 spill-free funnel set from Amazon for $25. Worth every penny. Also jack the front of the car way up. You have to bleed the coolant till the fan comes on a few times. Otherwise your thermostat won't open (which helps move the rest of the air to the radiator cap). Also be sure your heater is set to max-hot (no fan).

Also don't forget to put your heat temperature to max so coolant flows through the heater core to.

Air can get trapped there and come back to haunt you later down the road.

Try and pick a warm day, i have done this in the fall and these cars already run so cool it sometimes hard to get them to cycle the fan with the heat on and hood open ex. if its cold out. Also as mentioned get that front end as high up as possible within reason.
