Default Camber Kit advice

<FONT COLOR="blue">Right, I have very bad camber probs up front, and need advice on what I shud get/problems with camber kits, are they hard to install, do most places that wud do alignment checks etc know wat they are/how to set them?

My specs: 16" Oz Superleggeras w/et37 offset(not ideal-i know that now!) but i run 195-45-16 tyres which I think is what has saved me from having rubbing problems.

Koni Yellows & Apex 40mm lowering springs.

For the last few months,&bout 6k miles ive had a 50mm drop @front & 53mm@rear.

I took off the front suspension yesterday to drop the Konis to the lower perch and to my horror saw extreme inner tyre wear on each of the front tyres, now i had been told that this happens on Civics with drops of more than 40mm, but this is BAD.

Im thinking bout the Skunk2 Camber kit? Who sells em online? price? deliver to Ireland?

Im now lowered 66mm@front &53mm@rear.

Gona get a 4wheel alignment/camber check done this week to find out exactly wat state im in tho.

Also, the rear tyres are fine?? is this unusual??

Now I know i can just swap em over, but i cant afford to be goin through tyres in 12k miles!!! especially when the rest of the tyre surface is in v.good condition despite my love of cornering and the state of Irish roads!

SEARCH. This has been beaten the death. You should have got an alignment when you lowered you car.

Yep... use the search.

The tire wear is probably because your tires are toed out in the front... (IE, looking from the top, they look like this \ / ), which causes the tires to wear out on the inner edge. this happens when you drop the car, and the camber changes radically (all these things are tied together basically). Your next course of action should be to get a decent camber kit and install it (don't forget the rear camber as well), then get a good 4 wheel alignment.

Default Update-Please HELP!

<FONT COLOR="blue">Well, I got the readings done and the alignment sorted, turns out it was off a fair bit.

below are the before and after readings of toe, camber and caster.

My camber at the front left is -2degrees 11mins out , and the right is -2degrees 4mins out.

What is a healthy negative camber, i.e. that will assist handling a bit but bot go throug tyres stupid quick?

With that alignment, you are still going to get "camber" wear. I run -1.75 in the front on my car and show no wear with over 12k miles.

Get your toe set to completely ZERO.

ditto

I have about 2.1 deg. left and 2.3 deg. right of negative camber on the front of my car. I had the toe set to EXACTLY zero, and I rotate my tires ever 3K-5K miles. You MUST keep the tires rotated. After 20K miles like this, I'm just now starting to get very slight wear on the very inside edge of my tires. I've had my tires 35K miles in all, and they're not quite to the wear bars yet.
