2002 CR-V parking brake rebuild
I need to rebuild the parking brake on my 02' CR-V with new shoes and various hardware because I use it as a delivery vehicle, and use the parking brake very frequently for safety, and preserving the parking pawl. The problem is that aftermarket parking brake shoes and hardware kits really seem to be all over the map quality wise. Lots of reports of shoes with liners that are too thick to fit in the drum (I have aftermarket Centric rotors if that maters), and hardware kits with junk parts. Obviously, I don't want shoes that don't fit, or hardware the falls apart while I'm rolling down the highway at 65 MPH causing a lockup, or whatever else terrible can happen.
Wondering if it would be best here to cough up the money for genuine Honda parts, or if anyone has specific recommendations for aftermarket parts that are suitable.
