Caliper lock up after 15 min of driving.
I replaced the brakes and calipers. The rotors need to be replaced but i need to figure out whats wrong with it first. I can drive for maybe 15 mins and then the front passenger claiper overheats and locks up. I have to press the gas more to maintain speed. Once i stop, it wont move or crank for a few hours, until cools down. I have bought all new brake lines but someone said that might not be it. So before i put these $100 parts on this car that i cant use, i would like some help in confirming or exploring what else it could be.
booster to master cylinder pushrod spacing is out of spec.
i dont have the procedure, its in the manual, easy to find and download if you google.

also there is a valve inside a vacume hose that make the same problem as well
its the valve in the hose that goes from the brake booster to the intake mani
to test you just pull it off the intake mani and booster and plug the hole on the intake with another hose and bolt combo on the intake only
the hole on the booster you leave alone
and then go for a spin
now pressing the brake is going to be harder to do because the motor isnt helping you stop
so you do have to press the brake pedal a little harder to stop
but if your brakes dont stick anymore then you just replace the valve inside the hose and be on your way
another easier way is to remove the hose completely and just blow into it with your mouth
air should only pass thru one side only
if it passes thru both then replace the valve
if it doesnt pass thru either then replace the valve
just something to check
goodluck

the brake lines (flex lines) can cause this - have seen them swollen on the inside to the point of not allowing fluid to flow back
... in addition to what the others said

Tyson nailed it. Just add a little more "free play" to the brake pedal via the adjusting nut on the pushrod down in the footwell.
If the clearance is not right, heating/expanding brake fluid cannot displace it's way back up to the reservoir, and instead begins to push against the brake pedal. As it keeps expanding, your brakes begin to drag which causes more heat and even more expanding. Eventually they lock up.
Usually this happens when you replace the master cylinder or booster. Not the caliper. But it's still the first thing I would try.
