Ground wire disconnected, car loses power until shut off
I'm new here so work with me plus I'm no mechanic. My 2003 honda accord has this ground wire that's not connected anywhere. Don't know how or why it isn't connected. I can drive for a few mins before the dash lights come on (check engine) and the car slowly loses all power leading to the shut off. I can put pedal to metal and it will not move. Where does this wire go? I was told the intake hose and all would have to come out to reconnect it. Could It be why the diagnostic spits out random codes? I'm hoping it's not something to do with the computer. Please help
yes a disconnected ground can cause all sorts of problems. I'd need to see a pic of what you're referring to though to know for sure what to do.
if it's the main ground from the battery though, it drops down and bolts to the chassis, and then continues on past that and bolts to the transmission

I'll definitely take a picture. I know they said it'd have to be bolted back on. Of that's the wire your referring to, could that be why it's shutting off
Absolutely!
A loose or disconnected ground can keep your car from starting. It can keep it from running. And it can cause gauges and other things to freak out. And loss of power.
