I am going to reseal my oil pump and oil pan.

Does anybody have any experience with using Permatex sealants?

I am thinking of using the "ultra grey" however the "right stuff grey" reminds me of the "Hondabond" so it will be closer to OEM stuff. Which one will work?

permatex ultra black sounds like what you want:


i went with the toyota stuff based on the comment by the lexus master tech guy:

 

I use Permatex ultra black for everything that may come in contact with oil like oil pan gaskets, oil pump mating surfaces, rear main seal mating surfaces, valve cover gaskets, etc etc. Never once had an issue. It's great stuff.

That Right Stuff Grey or Black is super hard to remove when cured also, the Ultra line is much easier to work with before and after
