Icon7 98 Prelude Seats

Hello Honda Peeps,
I am barging into your forum as an ex-honda owner with the intentions of using honda parts in a non-honda. I have a 67 mustang that I am making into a weekend corner carver and the stock "bucket seats" are terrible. The only thing that holds you into them through a corner are you hands on the wheel. Anyway, when I first got my license, I would borrow my grandad's prelude from time to time and remembered that those seats had pretty nice bolstering and were quite comfortable. I found a wrecked prelude on craigslist and the kind fella parting it out said I could have the pair of front seats for 80 bucks. I am cheap and I can't pass up an offer like that.

Before I pick them up I was hoping to find out the dimensions of these seats, specifically:
height from seat tracks to where you park your ***
Total height
width of *** parking spot
width between tracks

I am ready for the jeering from Ferd owners and have tentative plans for a yota v8 swap. Honda seats will go perfectly with my build theme.

Help!

That would be cool but those are going to cost more. The price of 80 dollars for two seats is why I am leaning towards the prelude seats. I found s2k seats but the guy wants 400 dollars for them. That is enough to buy custom valved bilsteins for the stang. Also I'm not sure if the cars you listed have side air bags, but that is weight I don't need to gain.

those look awesome but people are not gonna let those seats go for less than 400 bucks in my area. I will definately keep those in mind for later since they will likely need the same track modifications as lude seats to mount in the mustang I appreciate the recommendation.

Prelude seats are fairly unremarkable...unless they are from a 3rd gen. The 88-91 Preludes have some of the best seats you'll find in any car. Very adjustable, they hold you well, and don't look out of place.
