I was driving home when it started the car was moving but slowly I'd accelerate the car and it would just stop I'd accelerate slowly and steady it would move for about 300 ft then act up again is my transmission shot

 

Seems to me like your civic is in a limp mode. Is your check engine light on?

 

Yes my check engine light is on and how do I go about fixing limp mode

 

You'll need to fix what's causing the CEL.
