My 97 prelude has been a little bashful lately not sure wtf it is. I let my buddy borrow it to jump start his moms car and on his way back he said it lost all power and died then wouldn't start again. So I went to tow it off the road and look at it. For about a 2 weeks I would go and start it and it starts right up and idles like normal but as soon as it hits 2k rpm it cuts out and dies and won't start until the next day. It will idle until the gas is gone but when given acceleration it cuts out every time at 2k rpm. Did a little research couldn't find much besides a fuel filter problem. So I went and copped a fuel filter slapped it on (yes correctly done) and now it wont even start. One of my buddies that has a civic hatch has the same engine and he told me to try cleaning the iac valve which I habent tried yet I just need a couple more pointers for this. It no longer starts and in not even sure if its a 4th or 5th gen. Its my project car right now, a of course I need to replace the shitty ebay struts and get the rest of the ebay stuff off as well. It only has 122,xxx miles just at a stump right now. Need help asap I need to get back to whippin it around.
