Default HELP: Wipers don't work right among other issues.....

I have a 98 Honda Accord lx 4cyl that I just bought a few days ago.
1. Wipers only work when I hold the lever down myself (just position). What is wrong and how can I fix this myself
2. I have an oil leak, not sure where it is coming from, somewhere under the undercarriage.
3. Most of the time it will start, but at times when I go to start the car it will start and then die, crank but not start. When it does this I can let it set for a few minutes and it will start right up. Other times I have to hook my jump box to it. It's a brand new battery, so I don't think that's the issue. The green key switch also flashes, and on most occassion I can tell if it's going to start or not just by watching that light. Maybe the ignition switch. It has had 2 recalls for the ignition switch and they were done. I have all the maintenance logs on my car, as I am the 3rd owner, and it was taken good care of (I know who had it before me). I just don't understand why it only does this from time to time.

I am hoping to be able to fix all these issues myself. With that being said I need all the help I can get, as my fiance thinks a girl can't fix these issues and I am determined to figure out the cause and prove him wrong.

Thanks a bunch!

I got the oil leak to stop by putting stop leak in it. But I did discover that the battery on my car doesn't match my specs. I got it from Wal-Mart, and they are the ones that told me what I needed and put it on. However the battery they put on has more CCA then my specs call for. Mine call for a 540 CCA amd the battery on here is a 650 CCA. I don't know if that matters, but the battery also slides around, so I tightened and cleaned the cables, grounds, etc. And I also had to put a bungee cord around the battery to keep it from sliding back and forth. So far the car has started, but it's only been a day so I will post back if it changes. I am thinking I need to take it back to Wal-Mart and have them change it for the correct battery, instead of bungee cording it in place.
Still don't know what to do about the wipers.....
