Is anything wrong with stock wires? You can easily test wires with voltmeter w/ ohm reading. If there is nothing wrong with your stock wires you will see absolutely no benefit whatsoever from replacing them. All you will see is less money in your wallet. Nology or direct hits with the capacitors might give you up to .3-.5 HP gain. Probably the worst bang for the buck. YOu will get more HP by changing your oil!

If you are turbo like your screen name suggest then Magnecore alomg with a upgraded ignition would be a good idea. If you are close to stock or just have bolt-ons oem or ngk wires will do just fine.

Like already mentioned don't expect a gain in hp, unless your current wires are junk.

the difference between OEM and those 'performance' plug wires is so small, it's not even worth it.

Unless you're pumping a lot of power and need every bit of spark you can get, it's a waste of money. use the money on a good strut bar or upgraded brake pads.

Magnecor. That's my next mod if my stocker's start acting up ($75 out-the-door new from a place i know). I've seen dyno-jet dyno's of brand new OBD II 318ti's making 6 extra hp to the wheels with just Redline synthetics in the engine/tranny/diff/ps pump + magnecors.

Interestingly enough, exhuast and intake (various brands) on `that` particular car made the car lose hp. The devil inspired OBDII.

(Edit: that particular test was done by Grassroots Motorsports Mag under many-many conditions.)
