Hello, I have a 98 spec JDM ITR transmission. Not sure if I'm going to rebuild it for myself or sell it! Can someone help me identify what needs to be replaced and/or if it would be ok to install as is for a while longer. Pics were taken from low to high. Thanks!

You sure that's an ITR transmission?

 

Yes! It is stamped LSD N3E. I originally took the cover off just to count the teeth on the FD and it is the 4.785. Did not appear to have been opened previously or tampered with prior.

 

Overall it doesn't look bad. 2nd gear engagement teeth are starting to get rounded over a little, this can be cleaned up with a flap wheel on a die grinder. 3rd/4th hub and sleeve are banged up and should be replaced. 4th gear engagement teeth should also be cleaned up a little.

 

Thanks for the reply! I know it can be tricky telling from pictures but, that coincides with what a friend told me also! I was just looking for a little more confirmation on the matter!
