Looking for Suggestions: PTFE Fuel lines for E85 FI setups
Hey HT. I get conflicting information (to do or not to do) and I rather play it safe. I've decided to run E85 indefinitely and I was wondering where did you guys purchase your hoses and fittings from? I'm looking to assemble mines from scratch so I found this site but their prices are too good to be true. I'm skeptical if they will do the job and wanted to see what others are successfully running right now.

Anyone have any suggestions or recommendations on where to buy these guys?

I have tried alot of stuff and been looking for the same thing. The cheap suff is almost all the time made in china and are more like soft pipes.. To have a PTFE hose that is softer and smoother it has to have a grooved surface. If that is on the inside of the hose it will hinder flow to some extent. So what you want is a ptfe hose that has the grooves on the outside and are smooth on the inside bore. That is like aerospace and F1 stuff and is crazy expensive mostly. All the manufacturers are fighting eatch other to get a good cheaper product out and there are new stuff coming all the time. Earls has their topline product like that. Smoth inner bore and grooves or perforated outside. If I remember correctly it is ultraflex hoses. The cheaper version has the grooves on the inside but if you can live with that and maybe just take a size bigger that is what I would have done today I guess. I have looked in to XRP, goodridge frana BRMS etc. I dont want it steel braided sice that will scratch everything it touches and that makes the options even smaller. Some stuff is made to order and are not on their web shops. BRMS has a pro gold series that is realy good and I just found out that they have a new series called problack that is smooth bore and some kind of black nylon brade to the hose.. Sadly it has only pressed fittings and not reusable fittings. It is not cheap as the china stuff but not crazy expensive as the earls ultra flex stuff. I would look into those. BMRS Products or the pro gold or the earls with groves on the inside ultra pro series. One way to get away cheaper is to make the long ways with aluminium pipes and just use soft line between the firewall and fulrail/regulator. Just make sure the aluminium pipe are anodized so it will cope with ethanol.
When I did it I ended up using stiff china smooth bore PTFE stuff from the tank to the firewall instead of aluminium pipe since I had to get fuel filters and e85 sensors in there. Pipe would be just a mess to get fitted. I used softer smoother earls ultra flex from firewall to fuelrail/reulator.
Get back here and tell us what you went with..

Unfortunately if you are wanting ptfe lines you are going to have to pay. I like the convoluted ptfe lines like bmrs and earls ultrapro. Earls is cheaper and that is what I went with on my car. It's very easy to assemble and is more flexible than even normal rubber hose.
Hard lines will not be touched. I am only looking to upgrade the rubber fuel lines in the engine bay. Thanks for the feedback guys I was going to buy some hoses and fittings from that site but I knew the prices were too good to be true. I'll probably end up going with Earl's UltraPro. I'll update whenever I get this part of my project off the ground

What fitting did you use to convert from the oe hard line to braided line? I'm having a hard time finding a conversation fitting that is rated for high enough pressure.
B&R makes the fitting

Just make sure you get the right spot the first time as the ferule will crush itself onto the hard line and not come off.

Sweet! Thanks!
I found this one too, but it says for "low pressure applications", but then they rate it at 250psi lol idk. I'll just go with the b&r fitting.

According to their site Honda's return lines are different from the feed line. Have you found any adapters for the feed return line?

Make sure the PTFE line you intend to buy has a conductive core, by the way. Also, for more flexible hose that's easier to work with, consider Goodridge G-Line XF hose.
